Gourmet Garden 8

I have ordered a variety of food from here, but consistently come back for the garden salad with grilled Chicken for 4.25, and the soft tacos. The portions of great, one taco and a salad is a good sized meal. The meat is tasty, and the salad is fresh. Obviously this is not a mexican restaurant, so the flavors are not especially authentic and the tortillas are flour not corn, but they do a decent job of good value, tasty food. Their delivery is usually very fast. Their wonton soup is good, as are their egg rolls, and their healthy menu is great if you want to avoid either carbs or oil. If you order well you can't beat the value here. I have also visited their actual location and it is very clean and tidy which is always reassuring!

Oh, man. I had low expectations. I'm fine with the east coast phenomena of "ChexMex" (I'm from LA)--it is what it is and can be pretty tasty, but I won't be ordering from here again. How do you ruin nachos? Nachos are like pizza--even when it's okay, it's still pretty good. But this place had bad nachos. Fatty, tough, rubbery and flavorless steak with chips that were stale and definitely NOT homemade.

Okay, after 7 years of ordering from another Chinese food place, I've found a new favorite. My order today was FAST! 25 minutes max from order to door. The food was fresh, hot and in generous portions! Very pleased!

General Tso's chicken was terrible, fried rice was dry, and egg roll was drenched in oil. If you pushed it down, oil literally oozed out. Never ordering from here again.

Maybe it's because I'm from California and I know what real tacos should taste like - but I was craving tacos. This is the only place that delivers to my place. Chinese and Mexican... I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical from the start. I should have gone with my gut. Worst. Tacos. Ever. Bland and flavorless in a bit of pressed flour based dough instead of a corn tortilla, bland on bland on bland. I can't see ever ordering from here again which means even if the Chinese menu is stellar I'm not willing to take the chance. Sad. Tacos are so easy - c'mon folks.

Steak was very fatty, chicken was plain and bland. The veggies were not very flavorful either and the tortillas were only so-so.
