High Heat

Solid pizza and burgers, hard to find both at the same place in NYC!

MOM says: This place should be called COLD CHILL. The pizza came almost cold, and we don't live far away. And it came later than they said it would. They didn't have the grilled asparagus and we ordered at 7pm. And worst of all, they left lemon rinds on the pizza itself. I cannot tell you the strange sensation of chomping down onto a lemon, while trying to enjoy cheese and crispy crust. And the lemons were cut up and sprinkled throughout and buried, so I had to pick them out, one by one, and couldn't find them all. Very negative pizza experience. (My half was the Clam and Potato (they didn't have potatoes.) The best thing about my dinner was the (intentionally) cold and refreshing diet coke! DAUGHTER: my half was plain cheese and tomato sauce, and it was good considering it was cold. When tried my mom's however, which I was supposed to share, i bit into something sour, which turned out to be the lemon rind. My mom had warned me about them, but i didn't see it because the lemon rind was about the same color as the clams. Yuck!

I would give this restaurant a higher rating, the food had great flavor and I think was well cooked, but it was hard to tell because everything was ice cold when the food finally arrived. For a restaurant that is less than 4 blocks away from my apartment, that is really unacceptable.

This is one of the best and most affordable delivieries that we have had in this area. The food arrived quickly and was fresh and hot, and very cheap for what it was. Both the burger salad and the pizza salad were delicious, as were the garlic fries. Will definitely be ordering from here again.
