Hudson View Restaurant

I remember when Hudson View was under different management and had a different crowd... I was skeptical of the change but, generally, service is excellent and fast (the waitresses and delivery guys, and the managers wife), but the food is inconsistent. Always packed on weekends for brunch so expect slower service then.

I only wish Hudson View were a bit closer to where I live - I order in frequently, and the food is consistently hot and wholesome - pretty standard diner fare. Sometimes the soups and stews are a bit too salty for my taste, so I stick to the staples: breakfast, turkey dinner and good, fresh salads with grilled chicken among my favorites. (The salads are plentiful and always fresh.) Another plus: the service (whether inside the restaurant or from delivery) is always courteous - lovely people.

We find Hudson View consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients,good-sized portions (huge salads!), great to have in the 'hood.

It is my last choice in the neighborhood for dine in, delivery or pick-up. When I really want something like a sandwich or salad, 9xs out of 10 will choose somewhere else. The only decent items are the breakfast dishes but the toast is burnt half the time and hard as a rock. The food is inconsistent. The service is terrible and I never know what the sanitation grade will be. I think the worst part of it is that it just doesn't feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Hudson View lacks any sort of passion for food, service or the people they serve - unfortunately, it seems to be a management issue. Some of the waitstaff and bussers work hard and the frustration is apparent. The area needs a better diner and Hudson View is missing the mark. The business is not out of loyalty but from necessity. Luckily, they're the only game in town for now but with better options popping up - I recommend trying out the other restaurants in the area first. Skip if possible, stick to breakfast if not and do not expect to be wowed.

2 hours to deliver food. That's ridiculous. The last few months, Hudson View has gotten worse and worse. Basic diner food at these prices is already a bit silly. To call and be brushed off and lied to when you ask about your food is very annoying. Lived in the area 3 years and I know it's a delivery desert; however, I'm over this place.

Expect to wait two hours literally for scrambled eggs and bacon. When you call to check on the status of the order after an hour no one will seem to know when it's coming.

Second time ordering from this place. The food is great even after being delivered a pattie melt and fries the fries were still crisp, the bread not too . The delivery is very quick, and the delivery guy is also very nice. I will definitely order from here again. Better than any diner style food in the area!

food tastes stale. muffins and baked goods taste really bad. also, they put items on the menu that they don't actually have. once you pay for it on seamless, then they call you and tell you that they don't have it.

The food here is pretty good, hard to go wrong with diner food in NYC. Delivery times are reasonable however I think they are quite over priced. Not sure why the price indicator says $$ should be more like $$$$ very expensive for diner food but also very well prepared and executed so I overlook it. Also a GREAT place to dine in. Staff is super nice and food is always great.

Most of the food is great, just ordered a cheeseburger and fries that were excellent, but also ordered a chocolate chip cookie that is completely inedible. Ugh.

Just move up to Washington Heights after living in Hells Kitchen for 10 years and I was very disappointed in the take out here, until I found this place. By far the BEST on Seamless if you live in this area. My only complaint is that it is a bit Pricey. Two egg white omelets with a side of fruit $35.00. Ouch.
