This was my first time ordering from Hunan Empire Restaurant. I ordered from Seamless and the estimated time of arrival was 30-45 minutes. I received a confirmation, but did not receive my food until an hour and forty-five minutes later. I had called an hour into my wait, where I was told that my order was not ready and that they would try to make it in twenty minutes. 45 minutes later, I received my food. The food itself was fine. I ordered the Eggplant in Hunan sauce, Steamed Pork Buns, Shrimp Dumplings, and Chow Mein. Each tasted as expected and the food was hot when it arrived, so that was a plus. Overall, I rate Hunan Empire a 3/5 stars for their extremely slow service. I might be willing to try again, but I'll do it on a day when I am not hungry and have time to wait.
