Don't order if you want to actually eat food! The food here is awesome, but there is a 98% chance that it will never arrive. This became a quick favorite, then one time my order did not show up for 2 hours, although I was calling to check and being told "it'll be there in 10 minutes" every 10 minutes! Then the rude lady REFUSED to cancel the order even though it was hours after my kids' bedtime and I had to feed them sandwiches for dinner. Seamless had to mediate for me o het a refund. 2 months later, forgot that I was boycotting them and ordered again. SAME drama, no food after 2 hours. 1 month later, hubby, unaware of boycott orders from here, and guess what? 2 hours LATE!!! WTH? They always have some dramatic excuse, when it is obvious that they are lying and just disorganized or perhaps they are in over their heads with delivery. Either way, Seamless should ban them.

Not good. The dumplings were bland and overly doughy. The chicken and pork were fat and chewy. Quite disappointing.

My first time ordering from Hunan Spring. Got the Beef with Chinese mushrooms, Wonton Soup, and Shanghai spring roll. Every thing I got arrive hot, and well within their estimated time range (I live within 2 miles of them). Everything was delicious! (and this is coming from an asian girl who loves asian food). 5 stars! Keep up the good work!

For starters...I have never put a negative review on Seamless before. I really feel an obligation in this case though. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Beef Lo Mein, and the Pu Pu Platter appetizer for myself and my friend...we threw almost all of the food out after just a few minutes. It was absurdly greasy and even the noodles in the lo mein heavily, heavily carried the taste of fried oil or something. I usually have no problem with greasy food, and I love Chinese...but this is literally the worst takeout I've ever had. Delivery was fast and they got the order right but...$30+ thrown in the trash. Also, the General Tso's ($11) also comes mixed with vegetables so that it's maybe half chicken by volume. The dry, shriveled broccoli didn't help it. Most Chinese places (this one included) have a combo that's half chicken half rice or something, but the actual expensive "General Tso's" item is all chicken. Not here. Way overpriced for the actual amount of meat they give. Will never order again, and am frankly disturbed by the quality of the food I received.

This is the best Chinese food I have found in Southern Connecticut. It is not authentic, the dishes come from regions all over China and do not much resemble the originals. But they mix fresh ingredients, vibrant spices and healthful preparation with an individualist flair. Think of it as Chinese-inspired cooking on a base of healthful Indian execution. You will be disappointed if you're looking for pure Chinese regional cooking, but Hunan Spring delivers interesting, flavorful and light creations. The specials are particularly recommended.
