Amira's (7th Ave) Reviews

I just ordered some food from this restaurant and I'm very disappointed by the food I received which is nothing like you see in the description. I ordered the lamb shank that was supposed to be cooked in apricot sauce and to come on a raisin cous cous. The lamb instead was cooked in plan tomato sauce, with no apricots. There was no raisin cous cous, but instead a overcooked plain white rice served on a side. I also ordered the combination plate which came with a salad with no dressing and strange felafel that tasted awful. The hummus and babaganush were not very good either and literally swimming in a lot of oil. Very disappointed, I will not order from here again.

5 stars for the homemade pita alone. Great quality above and beyond the low quality fare we have here in the slope.

Their falafel has an incredible taste. Excellent, excellent food. Also: the pizza chef from Anthony's stayed on, so those killer pies are still available.
