Andy's Chinese Cuisine Reviews

This place barely satisfies in a pinch. Ordered from here twice now, each time with "hot & spicy" checked and requested the order be made extra spicy. All I got was bland-tasting food. They either don't read seamless instructions or don't understand flavoring. Either way, I'd rather take the commute to Chinatown when I have the craving.

I have been eating at Andy's for years. Their food is always delicious and inexpensive. The delivery is quick. The often use a breaded chicken breast cutlet that they chop up for many of their chicken dishes. My favorite lunches are the sesame chicken and the pork chop. My absolute favorite is the Fantasy Shrimp, which is Honey Walnut Shrimp. Amazing.

A few months ago we had a Chinese construction crew renovating our office building. When they first started, they would order from a different Chinese restaurant each day until they tried every delivery option, and then ordered from Andy's every day after that. After ordering a few times myself I see why- Consistently much higher quality Chinese delivery than other options in the neighborhood. Not sure why the reviews look so spotty, pretty much everything I've gotten here has been quite good.

Best Chinese in the neighborhood. Their ingredients are amazingly high-quality. The chicken is always juicy white breast meat-- never any gristle, dark meat, or scary fried chicken-like wads of... something. This is the only Chinese restaurant I've ever been to that does this. Great wonton soup, fried rice, lo mein, and top-notch sweet & sour chicken.

Sauce was watery, chicken was overcooked and stringy, and the hot and sour soup left a very thick coating of grease on my lips and tongue. I will not be ordering from here again. I'm giving two stars because the delivery was fast, the food was hot upon arrival, and the delivery man was friendly.

JUST DON'T...you may want Chinese food, you may think this is a good idea, but IT IS NOT. Unless you plan on ordering a meal comprised entirely of egg rolls. Everything else that we ordered--and we ordered a good 5 or 6 other things--was DISTURBINGLY gross, and as someone who enjoys fast food on a fairly regular basis, that is saying a LOT. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT.

Decent, serviceable Chinese takeout. Let's face it: Brooklyn Heights ain't Beijing; it ain't even Flushing. So adjust your standards accordingly. With that disclaimer out of the way, I'll say that Andy's provides a decent and reasonably priced lunch special menu for people who live or work in the neighborhood.

Among the worst Chinese food I've had, ever. Shrimp was grainy and tasted like it was pulled from the East River. Ehw.
