Beyond Thai Kitchen (3rd St) Reviews

I've finally found the Pad-Thai I've been looking for! Generous portions (about a pound a half) Great protein ratio (~6-7oz squid, so almost 1/3 total weight) Saucy noodles (most important part!!!) smokey little bits of chewy tofu fried egg that's drenched in the rich sauce This pad-thai is twice as good as Spice at about the same price, a better portion AND more flavorful than Pok-Pok (the banana leaf wrapper was cool for like, two seconds tops) and the delivery is absurdly quick. Dumplings, crispy spring rolls, and the spare ribs are all really good but I have to say they're a little light for the price. Jum still holds my spot for best dumplings but I have to say that Beyond's dumplings have great flavor on their own and only need a little rice-vin to bring it all together. Larb salad was good, not too spicy with a flavorful dressing, great portion. "Nothing special" according to the girlfriend but she would order it again. She switched to the Pad See Ew which was AWESOME, it has an amazing smokey and garlic-y flavor, hard to pick between it and pad-thai now. Have yet to try the curries. This is my new go-to Thai restaurant.

This place used to be amazing, and now they have a new Seamless page and the Pad Thai is made differently...new management? It's pretty good Thai food, but not amazing anymore. Bummer.
