The food was ok, bit the delivery time was unacceptable. 30 minutes after confirmation email was received, I received a phone call about how they had run out of burnt ends. So I had them replaced with pulled pork. The food didn't arrive until after another 60 minutes. I tried to call and cancel the order, but they told me that they couldn't for some reason. Needless to say, the food (the pulled pork) arrived cold. I am never ordering from here again.

I just moved to LIC recently and I cannot say how happy I am that John browns is in my neighborhood. Everything is amazing - Im drooling right now just thinking about my last meal. But my faves have to be the burnt ends and corn bread. Heaven. Also, the staff is extremely friendly which is great. Highly recommend this place

Here's the thing with this place. It CAN be some of the best bbq you'll find. The burnt ends specifically are literally one of my favorite things i've ever tried. So why only 2 stars? 2 reasons. 1st, they're inconsistent. The burnt ends for example are the juiciest and crispiest most flavor packed chunks of meat on a good night. This is about 2 out of 5 times i've ordered. The other 3 out of 5 times they are almost as dry as beef jerkey. 2nd reason they only get 3 stars is they are ridiculously slow with delivery. It'd be one thing if they owned up to it, but they list 30-45 minute delivery and take at least 90 minutes and sometimes longer. I've ordered from here many many times and am only so frustrated because again, when good, i really love the food, but it's so annoying dealing with these things. They've also never said, "hey sorry about this, we see you order all the time, we'll give you a credit" or "we'll throw in some free stuff" or anything.

Delivered a Little on the late side but, understandable since it was raining. My rib tips tasted good but were really fatty this time which was't enjoyable. And they forgot to give us bbq sauce :( Food is good just kinda off the mark the last few times I ordered.

For BBQ this place was bad. I was surprised as people rave about it but the meat was dry and overall tasteless.

I've ordered from here a few times and have generally been very satisfied, but this last time left a lot to be desired. It arrived way later than the window of time and the Texas toast looked like sliced Wonder bread. The mac and cheese used to be creamy and cheesy, but whatever I got was a glorified Kraft affair and really not even as good. This place used to be so much better.

Very good BBQ. It was delivered quickly and everything was still hot! The pork ribs were incredibly tender but, bit heavy on the cayenne pepper. The pulled pork was authentic but a little dry. The coleslaw and baked beans were terrific. Will definitely be ordering again.

The first time I ordered from them, I picked it up and everything was fine. Second time around I ordered delivery. Big mistake. I waited over an hour for delivery, and when it finally arrived, our sandwiches were lukewarm, and entirely lacked BBQ sauce. When I called to ask about the sauce, the woman sounded bewildered that there was no sauce. Then said they "just ran out this moment." What a joke. I wanted to like them. But for the price I'd expect better.

Ordered the Baked Beans and the cornbread. Delicious. The baked beans was a meal in itself, and the cornbread sweet, with real corn bits. Will be ordering it again.

Beans: bland mess Mac & cheese: burnt, cold, gelatinous Brisket: dry AND fatty (how is that possible?) Corn bread: should be called, "odd corn pudding mush" BBQ sauce: no....just no Conclusion: I just wasted $44 on hideous food that took an hour and a half to deliver. Thank god for cereal.
