India Palace

Third time ordering from India Palace and might be the last. For the first time the food was oily, skimpy on protein or veggies. Potatoes in the dishes were undercooked. Garlic naan for an extra surcharge actually was delivered as plain naan. Disappointed but gave more than 1 star as previous orders were actually decent.

I just looked at my order history with Seamless and India Palace is the only restaurant that I've ordered from in the past few months. I think I've found my go-to delivery place. So far, I can't get enough of the Aluu Gobi and the Aloo Parantha. I also like the chicken soup. Those are my staples. Enjoy :)

I have never written a review for anything in my life, but feel compelled after my recent experience with India Palace. I had ordered from them a few times (love Indian and their's is pretty good) until they didn't include an item I ordered, Shrimp Korma, and sent some kind of broth instead with bits floating in it that looked like flattened chicken instead. No big deal. I called, the owner was nice and we agreed, since I order from them on a regular basis, that the next time they'll just include a free Shrimp Korma. A week later, I placed that order. After 6 phone calls from them, not me, and over an hour later (at 6:30pm, not exactly peak) I finally found their delivery guy roaming my street with the 2nd wrong address. He refused to give me my food, told me I was wasting his time and to never order from them again. Needless to say, I called the owner and he said he'd contact Seamless to try and get my Shrimp Korma credited back to me. I'm so confused why he would think that's the best recourse? I run a business and isn't the point to retain customers, get them to come back again and recommend their friends? Anyhow, I don't expect to ever see my Shrimp Korma or my money again, but thought I'd warn the rest of you.

Food was ok, needs to be clear when ordering that rice is NOT included with any items. Delivered with all orders separately bagged and labeled with names.

Delivery with 2 vegetarian entrees, rice, and garlic naan. The only plus side of order was that the spice level was decent. Otherwise, not ordering from here again. Entrees were watery and room temperature, and naan was not garlicy at all, cold, and chewy. Don't recommend ordering from here.

They forgot to put salt in veggie curry, had no taste. Rest food was ok, but not super. delivery person was too lazy to step out of his car.

Delivery took 1.5 hours and didn't even deliver to my door. Garlic naan has no actual garlic - just dusted with yellow garlic powder.

I ordered the Mixed Vegetable dish and it was definitely not curry. I was so disappointed. I was expecting mixed vegetables in light curry as said on the menu but the little vegetables included was mixed in a tomato sauce. The Naan was too chewy like it wasn't cooked all the way. The rice was dried, too.

Ordered the lamb vindaloo and thought it was okay. it was extremely saucy and didn't seem to have much spice as a typical vindaloo would. Naan was pretty good. I would say an average Indian delivery place.

this review is mainly about delivery. i was super excited about the food, until i went down to pick it up. the delivery person then decided to tell me that he "drove 5-6 miles to deliver the food", "gas costs a lot of money", and i "should have tipped him more like i would in a restaurant" because i tipped too little. it is rude, and i've never encountered a comment like this based on tips i give on seamlessweb in the past 3 years. also, it's not truthful: the restaurant is max 2 miles away, and i doubt i'm the only client in the financial district. last, now that i tasted the food, i find this place expensive for mediocre-quality indian food. my chicken tikka masala was kind of like stiff tandoori chicked dipped in souce, and the chai did not taste like chai at all.
