Jack N' Jill's

Robert Benson, the executive chef/owner of the popular eatery, Jack n' Jill's of Beverly Hills, is an extraordinarily talented chef and restauranteur. Born in New Orleans, and raised in Louisiana and Southern California, he brings over 25 years of industry experience to Jack n' Jill's.

Prior to opening Jack n' Jill's in September of 2004, Robert spent twenty years with the successful Claim Jumper chain of restaurants at various locations in Southern California. While he began his stint with this upscale chain as a waiter - when he was 18 years old - he quickly progressed up the restaurant food chain. Robert has the distinction of being the company's youngest manager, a position he attained at the age of 20. After serving as a manager for seven years, he was promoted to the position of general manager.

He went on to be promoted to supervisor of management training, a position he excelled in for five years, before he decided to venture out on his own.

Robert, who has a genuine love for food and cooking, has always wanted to own his own restaurant. He grew up in the business - his first job was bussing tables for his mom's catering company. His mom, Sherry (Miss Florida in 1961) was a talented chef who taught her son the basics of good Southern cooking. Robert delights in putting his own definitive stamp on many traditional Southern recipes. He also believes that good food, served by friendly and knowledgeable staffers, in a pleasant environment, is the perfect recipe for an attitude adjustment.

An enthusiastic chef and savvy businessman, Robert's spirit and work ethic have assured his rapid success and the restaurant's popularity. He's teamed up with Danny Kim at Jack N' Jill's Santa Monica location and Bobby Lee at Jack N' Jill's Too in Los Angeles to make sure every customer gets a great meal. Robert, his partners, and his staffers are all dedicated to quality, from the ingredients they use to the way they treat their patrons. Robert and company bring a definitive taste of southern hospitality and delectable cooking to Beverly Hills.
