Kumo Sushi (Bleecker)

I order from here rather often. They tend to be very fast, and have my order put together quite well. I really enjoy their sushi when I get stuck in on an evening working.

Not the best sushi in town, but very decent for the price and specials they have. Most places have a 3-maki special for around $10 only at lunch -- Kumo offers this deal at all hours, not to mention $1 sushi/sashimi à la carte.

I originally rate this a 5 star. Now I really don't like this place. The quality of the sushi is extremely unreliable. And more recently it has been just plain awful. I won't order from here again if I can help it.

Enticed by the great prices, I ordered from here for lunch. I got the Vegetable Tempura lunch box, and two sushi pieces each of yellowtail and salmon. - Delivery was super fast! Though I checked the "green delivery" box and they brought me napkins and utensils anyway. Hmmmm. - The miso soup was flavorless but hot. - The shumai were crispy and satisfying, but not terribly flavorful. - The California Roll was meh. - The salad had a nice assortment of greens and the carrot dressing was delish. - The vegetable tempura was awesome. My coworkers kept walking by my desk commenting on how good it smelled, and every piece was crispy and well cooked. Yum. - The rice that came with the lunch box was disappointing - dry and definitely basmati, not sushi rice as I expected. - The sushi was suspiciously inexpensive ($1) and tasted about as good. Not bad, but not great. If you're picky about sushi, you won't like this. Me? I ate everything. Lots of ginger, which is a big plus for me. All in all, for a grand total of $11 and change, this was a ton of food and a very good value, so I'll go with 4 stars. If I were to rate quality alone I would have gone with 3 stars. I'll definitely order the lunch special again.

Food is pretty good and at very decent prices compared to other Japanese/sushi restaurants. Quick delivery too! Often a go-to if working late.

Food is great, delivery and being on time: horrible. 10-25min delivery time turned into an hour+. When we called to ask where out food was we got the standard, "it's on the way". Well if it was on the way, then why is it not in front of me ready for me to eat?

they didn't send the salad that was supposed to come with my bento box. the spring rolls were ice cold and delivery took more than 55 minutes. the sashimi is also about half the size of normal sashimi, which I suppose serves me right for ordering $1 sashimi...

Food is decent but delivery estimates tend to be a little optimistic, and the delivery guy doesn't have id so if you live/work in a building with security they won't be able to bring it to your floor.

Delivery guy pretended door buzzer did not work, then left without delivering. After calling the restaurant to complain, another 30min passed before he arrived and decided that giving me the finger was the most appropriate course of action.
