I love Sichuan food, especially as it's the food I grew up on, and Legend does it right. I usually get my food within 20-30 minutes and it's always hot. The delivery man is also super friendly as well.

I wanted to echo a previous reviewer about calling ahead before ordering to see if the restaurant is busy, but on second thought, it isn't really worth the effort. The food is solid, though overpriced and, on one rare occasion, inedible (they did not clean the gravel off the leeks in the pork and leek dish). If they are anticipating over an hour delivery to an apartment two blocks from their restaurant, they should at least be able to indicate that in the confirmation email. When I called to inquire about my very, very late order, the woman answering the phone was apologetic but totally unhelpful. She did not even know if my food had left and did not offer to check. Totally unacceptable.

ADVICE: If you are going to order from Legend, call first to see if they're busy. We placed our order 90 minutes ago and it's still not here! When I called they said they were slammed and that they'd do their best - but 90 minutes is ridiculous.

My wife and I are big fans of this place. It's rare to find a higher quality chinese restaurant, and this is one of them. It's bit more expensive than the standard chinese take-outs, but it's worth it. We especially like the spicy tofu which has quite a kick!

It was okay, but there are better options for Asian delivery in Chelsea. I ordered the House Stir-Fried Hand Rolling Noodles and the Spicy Basil Chicken. The Noodles were okay but bland. The Spicy Basil Chicken was not even spicy at all. When I order something labeled spicy at an Asian restaurant, I expect to feel the spice. I had to add my own hot sauce. The Spicy Basil Chicken at Room Service in Chelsea is much better.

Ordered lunch from them for 3. Fast delivery, and everything's right - Authentic Chinese food. Nice and clear answer when I called to follow up on a question. Food is not greasy. The wontons in wonton soup actually have thin skin wonton in a clear veggie broth, unlike most Chinese take out places. SECOND TIME - lunch special was too salty to eat... could not taste the veggie and meat, just pure saltiness. THIRD TIME - got the noodle soup with pickled vegetable with pork. They skimmed on the quantity, only a couple spoonful of vegetable and meat ... Wish they had a lot more vegetable and pork in there.

Love seamless, but could not eat the pho I ordered. The meat was bad-looked bad, smelled bad, inedible. Will never order from here again.

TERRIBLE do not order - they almost killed me by re-using their chicken from the skewers and putting the skewer pieces into my sandwich !!!

When I ordered from them, I did not find the food either spicy or delicious. Food was either undercooked (veggies) or overcooked (protein). I think it must be about choosing the right items, but anyone who says this is 5 star Szechuan food is comparing it on a relatively low scale or is making great choices from their novel of a menu. I was too grossed out my first time ordering to ever order again, but I'm always surprised by the high rating. Weird.
