Mamagyro

Mamagyro recently changed the meat in their gyros from shaved lamb meat to chunks of lamb instead. (So if you're expecting gyro meat, like they used to serve, be prepared.) And on top of that, it was not good meat -- very mealy and chewy. I've been pleased in the past with Mamagyro's service and food, but lately the quality overall has declined. A little less meat in the gyros, the tzatziki containers slightly less full, the fries soggy. It bums me out, because you can beat the price, but now it seems the quality is starting to match.

Love Mamagyro- food is delicious and cheap. Souvlaki reminds us of the ones we had in Athens- really good.

We usually love Mamgyro's delicious and inexpensive Greek food. However, their service on an order last night was awful and will not be ordering from them in the future. We placed an order with them at 8:19pm and waited for the confirmation email. After 35 minutes of no confirmation, I called to cancel the order and the manager apologized for being "backed up", and agreed not to charge me or deliver the food. 15 minutes later my buzzer rang and it was the delivery guy from Mamagyro saying I had to "pay cash". I had to wait another 10 minutes to get the manager on the phone, and he told the delivery guy to just give me the food and not worry about it. I looked at my credit card today and contrary to what they told me they did charge me for the food. I tried to contact them to fix this, but instead they said I had to "work it out" with seamless. While the food at Mamagyro may be good, it is definitely not worth the hassle!

This is my favorite delivery in the UES. The rotisserie chicken is delicious on the gyro or a Greek salad. Highly recommended.

Delivery was 25 minutes longer than the 75 minutes estimated in my confirmation email, as if 75 minutes wasn't long enough. Gyros were good as usual, but I also ordered couscous and a bougatsa which never came. Instead, the restaurant gave me chopped salad and an old and stale cinnamon pastry which was inedible. What a disappointment..

The food was great! Yesterday was our 1st time ordering from here & we were so happy we did! The gyros are soo good & so are the salads & fries. And delivery was super fast. Can't wait to order from here again!

Well, 3rd time was not a charm. The first two times, the meat was tender, the souvlaki was fresh (with a good deal of tzatziki sauce). This time was disappointing, even though it came 30 muntes ahead of time: yesterday's food, microwaved warm?dry chicken in the souvlaki, hardly any sauce. Two orders of kebob were also dry. Boring. Spinach pie is still good but that's it.

I ordered thinking it would take 60-75 mins to arrive as per seamless. 15 mins later my delish food had arrived! Pure shock! Not only that, but the tzatiki is awesome awesome awesome. I loved my spanikopita. Yummmmy yum!

food is decent but this is 4th time their delivery time has been pathetic. Many times it says 30 min and it's over an hour. And they don't seem to care about it either. Don't order unless you're prepared to wait 60-90 minutes for your food.

YUMMMMMM!! Great greek salad with chicken skewer. Fresh ingredients, not too much onion or capers, chicken was warm and delicious. Tzatziki was really tasty and super fresh! Came quickly, too! Will definitely be ordering from this place again. It's not the cheapest but it's worth it!
