New Bombay Masala (Flatbush)

Our previous experienced with New Bombay Masala were good, but as of late they've been slipping. Almost every single order from here is at least fifteen to thirty minutes later than estimated delivery time. This time, we ordered and didn't hear anything for an hour after we placed the order. I called, and the guy on the other end sounded scattered and frantic, and then told me the order was already on its way. Apparently one of their bikes broke down and they were running late. If they had actually told us this beforehand, I would have been symathetic. But Seamless had to tell me this when I Tweeted to let them know about the issue. On top of that, the spice level was completely off with both the dildar curry and the dumpakht we ordered. Dildar is supposed to be a low spice curry; this was not. The dumpacht was way too heavy on pepper, which overpowered everything else. So yeah, New Bombay Masala needs improvement.

the food was decent - and the amount of food that comes from "dinner for two" is white abundant, but our order came over an hour late! we called twice and they were nice but not especially helpful.

Pro: Food was good, ordered the special and it is a lot of food for a good price. Con: delivery time is NOT what it says it will be. Every time I order here, it says 15-20 mins and it actually takes more than a hour. And when I call I have to ask specifically if my food left, and the guy would say it would be leaving soon. LIES -_- Pro: although food comes hr late, it is still warm. Con: coconut soup, is just coconut milk warmed up. Disappointing

Food was good, but after being told I would be receiving my order in 20-35 minutes it actually took 1 hour 40 minutes, the guy on the phone was completely unhelpful and gave misleading information about when it would be arriving. Not going to order from here again

A little on the greasy side, which others have mentioned. Good Chicken Curry, Aloo Gobi and Sagg Aloo both tasted fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely order from here again. Good Food, good Value.

As others noted, food is a little oily. I specified the spice level I wanted and it was perfect. It seems they got over their poor delivery times, I got my food in about 1/2 an hour and it was warm. The mango lassi was delicious :). Re:Tandoori chicken was delicious, as was the rice that comes with the order. Less oily this time, which was nice :)
