The pupusas are pure joy. My guy and I want to order from here basically every day. North of the Border is Central American comfort food at its best. Do they put curtido on just about everything? Yup. Does it taste like Jesus himself fried everything by hand with love and produced delicious curtido from mere cabbage (like water from wine!) to put on top? Pretty much, yeah. We're big fans of the tamales and chuchitos, too. I lean towards vegetarian, because the meat is occasionally a little fatty for me... but I won't say no to a pork one because they're pretty outrageous no matter how you slice it. I also prefer the cheese pupusas, but I'm pretty sure my guy could subsist solely on the mixed ones. I will say that this place almost always has to substitute something we order... but, if you see above, they still get five stars. If you get a phone call five minutes after you order, go with it and pick something else. I have yet to be disappointed.
