Paulus Hook Brick Oven Pizza

ordered here three times now... first time the pizza was great. hot, fresh and very fast. second time, pizza was a bit cool, delivery took a while and they forgot the 2 sodas we ordered. third time the pizza was horrible. completely tasteless and the crust was like a chewy sponge. the vegetables were soggy and unseasoned. some were raw, some were charred. and the prices here are just outrageous. eggplant parmesan = terrible, prices = crazy (34.50 for a pizza? i don't care how thick the crust is, that's insane, it's flour and water and some toppings) as pizza connoisseurs, we value GOOD pizza and quality ingredients. this place is so inconsistant and overall disappointing.

Best pizza in JC, IMO (have had the Supreme and the Super Special). You can certainly find cheaper, but you won't find better. Garden salad and pasta dishes (penne bolognese) are good too. Blazing fast delivery (I am local--couple of blocks). A highly reliable & satisfying go-to for me. I don't understand the 1-star reviews--posted by competitors with an inferiority complex perhaps?--but in any event my experience (half a dozen orders) has been very different.

I couldn't give this less than one. I ordered a Margherita pizza and garlic bread. Garlic bread was the worst imaginable garlic bread and could make anyone eating garlic bread for the first time hate it forever. The pizza was not good either. It was a waste of 30$. Now I think i could have got far better italian food from any other pizzeria. This one star is for their quick service. If no restaurant other than paulus hook brick pizza is open and I am really hungry then I would prefer cooking bad food then to pay for it.

Just got my order and they messed up the order while the red/white pizza was completely burnt on the bottom. Cant believe they expect to do business like this and get away with it having such high ratings. Called into the restaurant, was placed on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up and decided that this review should give people a heads up as to what to expect. What a joke.

I've never had a late delivery from these guys -- they are always very fast for me, and I'm near Grove St Path area. The Bruschetta pizza is AMAZING.

The pizzas are delicious and the buffalo wings are very tasty - only issue is long delivery time and once they messed up our order. Overall, one of the restaurants we return to frequently for delivery.

It's been 45 minutes and pizza not here. I called and on top of their awful customer service, they said another 20 minutes. They stated that the 45 minutes delivery time is not guaranteed.

We live in 70 Greene and we have our choice of pizza places and this place is the best in the neighborhood. Their pizzas are incredibly good-- superior ingredients and quality. Please keep it up.

Order chicken parm, baked ziti, and garlic bread. Garlic bread was burned, baked ziti tasted like vinegar, and the chicken parm tasted like plastic. I have never written a bad review before but this food was inedible. If I could give a zero rating I would
