Pete's Grill

I typically enjoy ordering from and going to Pete's Grill but I was blown away with the lack of customer service on my last order. I specified that I did not want any tomato on my salad, dressing mixed in, and whole wheat toast with my Florentine omelette. I received tomato on my salad, dressing on the side, no toast, and no feta in my omelette. When I called them to ask for correction orders I got, 'What do you want me to do? You want a new salad? I don't see any notes." Meanwhile I was looking at my order and it was clear as day. Very disappointing :(

Good standard diner food...but it doesn't deliver that well. Just grilled cheese and fries, etc. just isn't as good after its cooled down a bit after being transported. Not Pete's fault, just the way it is.

UGH - Why do I order from Pete's? When will I learn my lesson? I ordered pancakes with bananas and added a note to ask for powdered sugar on the pancakes. I got no powdered sugar, and instead of banana in or on the pancakes, I got a whole banana in a separate bag. I got no pancake syrup. Oh yum - dry pancakes. Also ordered a milkshake and they didn't send a straw with it. There's been some very basic thing not right with almost every order. Gave them one more chance - ordered a burger and curly fries and only got the burger. They simply cannot read an order and get the correct food to the customer.

Is Pete's under new management? In the past, Pete's had good food along with great service. The last time I went into the diner the food tasted terribly and our waitress seemed uninterested and annoyed. Tonight, I ordered a cheeseburger, medium with additions. The burger was well-done/almost burnt and the additions were missing. Although, the sweet potato fries were good and the delivery was on time. Pete, what's up!

We like eating in at Pete's at all hours, but the delivery leaves much to be desired. Yes, it's a rainy Sunday, but the food took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive and was all wrong. The Athenian sandwich was dry and missing the tzatziki sauce & green peppers (2 of 3 main ingredients) and we paid extra to get sweet potato fries that didn't come. Food was generally soggy and disappointing. We'll continue to visit Pete's but won't order delivery again.

Pete's is a great 24 hour diner. Their cheeseburgers are beyond superb (particularly at 3am) and they'll deliver anywhere (including local bars). The only problem is, sometimes their delivery guys get confused and go to the wrong address. It's generally worth the effort for all diner fare - burgers, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, sweet potato fries, etc. Winner all around, and again, the 24 hour availability is pretty unbeatable.

I love Pete's! They have a large variety of diner-type food and all of it is delicious. My favorite items are the breakfast omelets and a cajun chicken caesar salad. Also, they deliver very quickly if you live in the immediate area, which is an added bonus.

Pete's food is excellent - havent been dissapointed yet. Servings are large and they treat you the same, for a $5 sandwich or a $50 dinner. Try the Reuben (PERFECTO!) and their shakes are too die for!

Having dined-in and taken-out more times than I can count, I have come to realize they ration their cheese. I have never, ever, in all the orders I've placed, gotten cheese on my omelette. No American with my bacon, no feta in my florentine. What gives? Then, when you call them to complain, it's made out to be your fault. Do yourself a favor, if it's not after midnight, pick up the phone and call New York Style Eats.

Garlic mashed potatoes were smothered in raw garlic. Gross. Screwed up our order more times than I can count. Unfortunately one of the few late night options. Called last night to order dessert since its not on the Seamless menu. Charged $5 to add strawberries to the cheesecake without telling us til it arrived.

The food has gotten better over the last year. The pancakes and french toast are very good as are their egg sandwiches. Solid food with decent delivery times plus 24hr service.

Food took over an hour to arrive, and when it did it was cold and was missing items. When we called to follow up on where the order was, the woman who answered the phone was rude. We ended up throwing it all out and ordering from the Post Diner, where we knew we'd get what we wanted.

This is my go to diner in the neighborhood. Good all around. That said, the last salad I ordered had little bugs in it. Really gross! But when I called and told them, they were horrified and both replaced it and credited me the $ I had paid.
