Punjabi Tadka

I just ordered two entrees from Punjabi Tadka and I am extremely disappointed in the amount of food that was delivered.for what I paid as compared to other Indian restaurants in HK. It is laughable. This was my first and LAST order.

craving Indian food, I recently ordered from Punjabi Tadka. First off, it was supposed to take 45 minutes - 1hour to get my food, i was starving and if i had noticed that before i placed my order, i would have gone elsewhere. Anyway, they surprised me by getting the food to me in a little less than 30 minutes. And it was HOT and good. I ordered the lam Vindaloo (yummy), Naan and Mango Lasi. I was scared, because Lasi's are usually hit or miss but Punjabi Tadka's was a definite HIT. Next time i have a craving, i'm going with them!

Disgusting food. Soggy bread and rice. Chicken is disgusting and not cleaned properly. I had bones and stones coming right into my mouth while trying to eat the tandoor wrap. They try to compensate for stale vegetables and meat by over doing the spices. Possibly the WORST indian place in NY. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE AT ANY COST. I have been so finicking about ordering food online and my experiences with Punjabi Tarka just reinforced that fear.

I've ordered from this place many times, and was very happy.. But, this evening, i was really disappointed... Seamless had to intervene and request a refund 'cause Panjabi Tadka kept telling me that the food was on its way, but it never left their restaurant. Definitely don't order from here unless you want to get screwed over.

Born and raised in India, I'm often craving authentic, tasty food. This is the only Indian restaurant that is satisfactory and at a price that allows me to eat here very often! A rare Indian place where the daal is not over diluted with water and where each entree actually tastes different (with flavor). It's slightly greasy, but I'd expect nothing less from my Punjabi food. Strongly recommend the lunch boxes when available (good variety - little of everything).

Food was quickly delivered and excellent. The chicken soup is made with a well spiced chicken broth and tasty, juicy small chunks of tandoori chicken. I love the Saag paneer, a lot of spinach and excellent! Highly recommend ordering from here.

I used to order regularly from this place for the last few years, but lately (last 5-6 months) it hasn't been great. The food is bland, they mix up orders, and they take ridiculously long to deliver. My last order from this place came 2.5 hours after the order was put in.

Was an hour late after the quoted time and mixed my order. They gave me lamb instead of the chicken I ordered and when I asked them to redeliver they told me to keep it because it was more expensive. I'm not a fan of lamb, but it was sooo late and I was sooo hungry.

Terrible delivery time. My order took 90 minutes and the restaurant guy is clueless about it. Worse.. He did not even acknowledge the restaurant's mistake.

Ordered second time after 8 months and was reminded why I swore the first time never to order from here again. Here's the rundown: Food ordered at 7:30 pm, delivered at 9:45 pm after 3 calls, every time being reassured that the delivery guy will be there in 20 minutes. This when the restaurant is only 6 blocks away. When the guy finally show up with food, first thing he says is to never order again !! That's all the English he knew. Open the food, find it cold, with an inch thick layer of greasy oil floating on top. Needless to say, threw it away and went out.

Horrible experience! Tried ordering them for the first time. The estimated time was given as 30-45 mins but the food arrived after 1 hr 20 mins!! The container with the curry had not been closed properly, so the contents spilled out and made a mess when I tried to remove the container from the paper bag. The food was greasy and mediocre. Will never order from them again!! Save your money and order from somewhere else.
