Rare Bar & Grill Chelsea

I have eaten delicious hamburgers at the restaurant itself and this was the first time I ordered food delivered. I ordered their chicken wings based on a high rating by readers of the NY Daily News. The wings were heavily breaded, overly seasoned and basically inedible - absolutely the worst wings I have ever had. The fried potato sampler (fried, waffle and sweet) was a huge disappointment , tasteless and greasy except for the sweet potatoes. I'm not sure how well their hamburgers would travel, but if I ever ordered delivery from Rare again, I would get the burgers.

First, I was going to order the Ranch Burger Salad that was shown in the pictures, which looked amazing. Too bad it is not on the menu! How hard is it to make sure the pictures match the menu items? Second, I ordered the burger. It was fine, but $9.50 for a burger without fries? Seriously? Third, $3.00 for a 12oz can of coke? Really? FAIL !!!

Eating at the restaurant is always better. Burgers are quite good and love the fries w/all the different dipping sauces. I ordered the chicken burger for delivery and it was really flavorful. The bun didn't hurt either.

Great burgers, great wings, and the fries are amazing. We've eaten there before but delivery is equally good and fast. Overall, we order from here over and over again.

Bacon cheeseburger was ordered medium and came much rarer than it should have been. It was warm but the bottom bun was really soggy. Sweet potato fries were inedible-chewy and slightly warm and not crispy at all. The sauce they were served with was like pure maple syrup-yuck! Onion rings were also very soggy. The bbq sauce I ordered on my burger was missing. No silverware was included even though it was requested. I bet this place is better to eat in rather than have delivery from.

Food was great, burger was delicious. However, desert was not prepared as described on the menu (i.e., half of it was missing) -- which was very disappointing, especially considering that it was a $9 desert.

First time ordering from this place. Ordered burger, quesadilla (w/brisket) and split calamari and sweet potato fries with my girlfriend. Excellent burger, excellent quesadilla and excellent calamari. The sweet potato fries were not great, kind of soggy, but fries usually don't do well w/delivery. Calamari was surprisingly good as well considering they also usually don't travel well. My girlfriend also ordered a greek salad which she loved. Great food, fast delivery, highly recommended.

The truffle fries are disappointing, but the Mexican burger is a tour-de-force. They arrive just as ordered (medium, medium-rare) with generous portions of condiments. A terrific meal. The fries are good - too good.

The Kobe Quesadilla was disgusting. Hardly Kobe beef! And I wouldn't order the truffle fries again. They don't travel well and were really soggy and greasy. Bummer.
