Decent sushi. I hate doing this, bc I would rather rate the food, but I got the Sushi and Sashimi Dinner which came with soup and salad. Except, it didn't come. So I called and asked, and he tried to convince me to take a credit of free edamame next time I ordered (is there going to be a next time!?). I convinced him to redeliver it. It came without Salad Dressing. None at all. *sigh*

We actually had a terrible experience: 1. We waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive. 2. They forgot the soups. When we called, they said it was a choice of sides, but on Seamless, it says soup is included. 3. Most importantly, the food -- particularly the fish -- was not fresh and tasted mediocre at best -- all 3 orders. We order in all the time -- but we will never order from or frequent Sushi Mora again.

I placed an order and the delivery time was estimated at 30-45 minutes. I called Sushi Mora when 50 minutes had passed and the guy said they hadn't even begun making it because they're busy... without offering any apology! When I offered to come pick it up, he said I can but after 10-15 minutes. Then when I asked if I can cancel my order, he put me on hold for a second and said I can pick it up now. Again, no apologies. So I ran to pick it up, and a minute later there was hardly anyone there, but the order was actually ready. So the guy must have been lying (both about the order not being ready and them being busy? I can't imagine a new restaurant like this being so busy with delivery orders?). Then when I got home, there was no rice with the $18 (!!!) salmon teriyaki on my order. How could they forget the rice?!? All the food was good (especially an eel avocado hand roll where they slightly charred the eel) but this place is over-priced and the way the delivery was handled was inexcusable.

Sushi Mora just opened up in Chelsea. Since me and my fiance love sushi and enjoy trying out new places, we tried it one cold night, after we did a Best Buy, Home Depot, and Whole Foods run. Meaning, we had a TON of stuff in our hands, including melting ice cream (which they kindly stored in their freezer for us) and big wooden planks we bought for a house project (which they didn't mind us leaning up against the wall). We were really floored by their kindness and flexibility. We were a bit apprehensive about the food, but only because we love eating at Aki on W.4th, Ushi Wakamaru, Blue Ribbon, Jewel Bako, Kuruma Zushi, etc. - but Sushi Mora held its own. It's obviously not up to Masa quality, but it is certainly a cut above all the rest of the sushi places in Chelsea. It does well in comparison with Momoya Sushi. A very reliable and delicious neighborhood option. I'll be coming back again, and also ordering again! I'm happy to have a good sushi option in Chelsea.
