Taboonette

one of my favorite restaurants in the city there haloumi salad is a a favorite among me and my friends. oh and there honey pistachio cookies are quite the deal with 3 for $2 and it sure helps that there amazing. delivery was quick and on time !

Taboonette is so strong. With the closing of Bak and City Tavern, its the only reason to be on 13th Street anymore.

The food at Taboonette is pretty awesome, and I imagine even moreso if you want to sit in and dine. The delivery is kind of a hit-or-miss situation. They deliver on time, but I've had badly taped up drinks that poured out in the delivery bag, and entrees missing ingredients (potatoes in the Chicken Schwarma, chicharrones in the pork dish pretty much always, dipping sauces with the chips, etc.) so buyer beware. That being said, the food is still good and I recommend it, but it could have been better. Hopefully they step their game up soon.

5 for conception, 3 for execution! I love Taboonette I just wish there was waaaay better quality control. The kebab is singularly delicious but the eggplant is incredibly undercooked EVERYTIME! Yet, its so much better than 90% of delivery I just take the eggplant out. The black olive cookies are not to be missed. One of the best cookies I've ever eaten and not at all gross if the idea weirds you out, seriously, seriously they are magical.

It hurts me to have to give Taboonette only three stars because I have been ordering from them since they opened (and I love Taboon proper as well), but my last experience was underwhelming. They have cut the size of their haloumi salad almost in half - but yet they are still charging the same price. The calamari rice plate arrived lukewarm at best and the tahini sauce was dried and bland. I had to reheat everything and was just very disappointed. I hope they were just having a bad night because I have loved it every time I have ordered before. I will definitely give it another try and hope for the best!

damn good middle eastern food-seems like higher quality than alot of other places in the city. also, pretty quick deliveries (but, to be fair, i only live 6 blocks away)
