Taj Mahal Romance in Dining

Order was confirmed for 45-60 minutes. Ended up taking over 2 hours. Called multiple times, each time they said they were 15 minutes away. Food arrived semi warm, my mango lassi was all melted and watery. Their lamb vindaloo is most definitely not vindaloo. naan was hard as rock. chicken tikka masala was decent, but thats not saying much.

Food was delicious but waited over 1.5 hours for delivery. That was very disappointing. Had the chicken and lamb vindaloo and it was prepared very spicy (as requested), but the 1.5 hour wait was infuriating.

Pros: Big portion size for the price. Courteous customer service when I called to ask if the food was on its way yet. Cons: Food was bland. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. Food was cold upon arrival since it took over an hour for delivery so I had to reheat. Likely will try other Indian restaurants in the area before ordering from this restaurant again.

The delivery is taking way more than an hour. What a dissapointment... I have no doubt the food will be cold by the time the delivery man gets here. :(

I'm slightly obsessed with this place. The Chicken Tikka Massala is incredibly tender - you can cut it with your fork - which, compared to a lot of Indian places in NYC, is definitely not the case. The garlic shrimp is also very good. The naan is good, if unspectacular, and their delivery is a little slow but always good. Highly recommend this place.

Arrived on time and the food was semi-warm. Ordered the vindaloo, completely disappointing as it wasn't spicy at all. Garlic naan was mediocre at best. Not the best indian I've had. Will not order from here anymore.

When I placed my order, the lady called me back and kindly told me that the kitchen was closed at the time and they wouldn't be able to deliver it to me until 2 hours later. When I finally got my order, they forgot one of the items. The samosas were good, but the parantha bread wasn't that great.

This is the best indian place in jersey City. For delivery, don't doubt it for a second. The actual place is nice but in an odd location, frankly. Regardless, the food quality is best in JC and I dare you to try to prove this wrong. i've tried just about everything.

I made an online order. One extremely rude employee called me to tell me they dont have one of the rotis i ordered. The only available roti was $1 less so she told me i need to call seamless web to settle it instead of showing courtesy and saying i will give you two rotis. . She was extremely rude. I will not order from this place. I cancelled my order as I got suspicious she may spit in my food. stay away from this place.

Good food. Ordered spicy, but it wasn't spicy enough, but at least the taste was a bit different. Certainly recommend.
