The Bagel Store (Metropolitan Ave)

They called me right away to let me know the whole wheat bagel I requested was being made fresh so it may take a little longer. I was excited to have the freshest bagel possible, so I told them 'No problem!' My sandwich was a special order and they nailed it! Am very pleased and will be going back many, many times. Oh and their iced coffee is the best!!!! Thanks Bagel Store @metropolitan

Agree with other reviewers. Waiting 2 hours for a bagel is unacceptable. Completely defeats the convenience of delivery. Will not order from them again

i have given this place SO MANY chances because i love the bagels. There is not a SINGLE time that it has not taken 2+ hours AND my order is always wrong. I continue to order because I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt. But this is the VERY LAST time I order from here. Unless you want to sit around all day and wait for a cold bagel. DO NOT order from here.

Absolutely fantastic bagels, but delivery can be VERY slow on weekend mornings (probably because everyone knows how great their bagels are).

Took almost 2 hours to get here (a 5 minute walk away), the egg sandwich was cold and they forgot a part of the order. They have great bagels, but I would recommend pick-up and NEVER delivery. Also, never believe them when they say it will be there in 5 minutes - it arrived 40 minutes after that.

totally unremarkable, sub-par BLT... bagel not fresh-tasting. wrong chips came with my order, when i called the first guy i spoke to said there was nothing they could do, then he gave the phone to a woman who said they called three times to check in with me (blatant lie! had phone next to me the whole 45min til order came) & offered a credit on next order but was super brusque and rude when taking information and kept calling me honey condescendingly. prob won't end up using the credit, not worth trying this place again...

These guys make great bagels, but they constantly mess up my orders. I've ordered about $15 worth of food, and actually received about $8 worth of food. Normally I let this go if it happens only once or twice, but it has happened fairly often.

I've never ordered from this place without at least one major problem. They'll make substitutions without your consent, there was one time the order was completely mangled, things we didn't order included, things we did order executed incorrectly, and ridiculously late considering we live about three blocks away, and just now they've called to me they're closed and can't get me my order, not bothering to mention this to me until half an hour after I placed it. French toast bagel sandwiches are good, but not good enough to deal with their abysmal service any longer.

The bagels are tasty but not worth the wait. It has taken close to 2 hours the only 2 times I ordered from here. I don't see myself placing a delivery order ever again.

I love the Bagel Store and order from it a ton. I live 7 minutes away. However, today it took over 2 hours for them to deliver, and everytime I called I got a different story about how it was on its way and would be there in 2 minutes. I understand things happen, but I am not thrilled with how this was dealt with.
