Udon was a bit tasteless. One of our 5 sushi pcs (from the sushi appetizer) was very fishy. Wouldn't order from here again.

This places takes rediculously LONG to delivery. I'm located 3 blocks away and only ordered 2 sushi rolls. The site mentioned that it would only take 15-30mins.. but I didnt' get my food until well over an hour later. I had to call several times after the 40 mins mark to ask about the status and each time they kept promising it was out & only 5 mins away. I dont understand how this place can have a 5 star rating (which is obvioulys completely bogus) if it has so many 1 star reviews showing up.

Ordered Sushi Bar Lunch B special. Contrary to the way Seamless lists it here, it does not come with California roll or Gyoza; just soup and salad and white rice. However, the real issue was the sashimi and the delivery. Sashimi was basically inedible except for salmon, which still wasn't great. The tuna was brown and looked and smelt like raw steak. The white fish had bits of skin still on the slices and were so stringy I couldn't bite through them. The tako and red clam were also incredibly tough, suggesting they weren't fresh. Basicaly all I was left with to eat for lunch that cost $16 was white rice, miso and a salad. Not exactly good value. Additionally, the delivery took 55 minutes. 10 of which spent watching the delivery guy stand in front of the building without even trying to enter or locate who the delivery was for. It's a freezing winter day, which is why I ordered delivery in the first place, yet he wouldn't even come inside the building to deliver the food. Receptionist at the restaurant was apologetic, but offered nothing to satisfy me after all of this. Needless to say I won't be ordering from here again. Maybe I caught them on an off day but as the reviews from the last 3 weeks suggest, this is fairly consistent. Disappointed and hungry.

I can only rate the food I was actually able to eat. I picked up my food but they failed to give me any soy sauce or wasabi...on top of that, when I called to complain they offered to drop it off (it's a block away no problem). 30 mintues later I'm still waiting and hungry and the phone line is busy. Never again. - Update, the soy and wasabi came, and the sushi was inedible. So old tasting. Blech!

This place has Solid sushi an very fast delivery in the Herall Square area of NYC. Also some different japanese appetizer options that keep me coming!

Exceptional sushi! The staff is also extremely accommodating. Even after I called to complain, thinking that they had my order wrong when it arrived, they were so nice and exchanged it, no questions asked. It turned out it was not their fault, but mine when I was selecting how the roll was to be prepared. I highly recommend Toyama! 5 stars.

I ordered the Salmon Avocado and the Pad Thai. The Salmon Avocado was quite good, but they did not give me soy sauce or wasabi... Luckily I used my own soysauce, but had no wasabi. The Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had in my life. That was my mistake though, since this is a sushi spot. They should remove it from the menu. If I let that factor into my review, this would be 0 stars. Delivery took about an hour to 53rd and Park.

Ordered food an hour and a half ago. When I phoned to check on the status, the woman on the phone was talking to 5 million other people and was curt and rude. She told me my order was just ready now, and told me to wait 15-20 minutes more and there was nothing she could do. i don't care how good the sushi is, I won't ever order from here again.

I am still waiting for my food over an hour after the order was placed. I called the restaurant and they told me that they "tried to call me but no one answered." This is a busy business and the phones are working and answered. Overall, do not order from Toyama if you want your food on time. The food will be late (I am still waiting) and the person that answers the phone will downright lie to you.

Everyone has an off night every now and again. I ordered from here because of the high ratings. I guess the jokes on me. Small portions and everything had a very "sour" taste that lingered way too long. Couldn't even finish it. I actually don't feel too well now.

Took twice as long as indicated and food was inedible...not fresh at all - (on a Wednesday night) straight to the trash! This was my second time ordering, first time was good, but this was bad enough to cross them off my list.
