Village Pizza (Chicago Ave)

Wish I would have read the reviews. Only reason I ordered was bc pictures looked like some classic new York style I was craving. Not even close to what was delivered. Pizzas gross and soggy. And service was ridiculous. Asked them to knock and leave outside bc I have badly dog and sleeping baby. Obviously didn't follow instructions. Had to argue with delivery woman to bring up to my apartment. Never had that problem in my MANY delivery orders.

Pizza was so so. Asked for jalapeños on the side, got charged for jalapeños but there were no jalapeños. Called to have charges removed and was told they would call back to confirm. Never called back...and neither will I.

TERRIBLE FOOD & APPALING SERVICE So I have ordered food twice from village pizza in the past and have been the recipient cringe-worthy service. On both occasions, the food could be better but what made the situation worse was the fact that they do not use any thermal containers to transport your food. So by the time it reaches your apartment, it is stone cold and you loose out on the experience of eating fresh warm food. However the main issue for the restaurant lies with its terrible service. On the first occasion they got my order wrong and when I called up the delivery lady regarding the mistake, she basically said she is too busy to talk to me and hung up the phone on me. When I called up the restaurant the guy too seemed agitated and screamed at me. I was made to feel that I was at fault that they got my order wrong. I simply then called up seamless and asked them to sort out the issue instead The second time, they refuse to deliver the food to your door-step and I was asked to collect the food from the building across the road where the lady had parked her car. Why pay extra for delivery when you have to brave the wind and the cold and expose yourself to the elements anyway. Village Pizza, you need to step up your game and learn to treat your customers better.
