It's hard to find a good Chinese delivery place on the Upper West Side. Young Chow has 5 stars on seamless so we gave it a try. Looks like we're going to have to keep looking. The food was delivered after about 45 minutes, but it was hot at least. The delivery person didn't speak English, and seemed rather angry about it - good thing tip is included in the order. The food was .. unremarkable. The hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour - it was more like a brown soup with mushrooms - even though we requested extra spicy. The white rice portion was dry and overcooked (yes, its possible to combine these two adjectives - who knew?), and tiny. We had the seafood pan-fried noodles, which were bland as tasteless but stale and overly fishy at the same time, and the ribs appetizer was fatty and under-cooked. Finally, the "extra spicy" szechaun chicken wasn't spicy at all - how can a szechaun dish not be spicy?? - especially when it's listed as "hot and spicy" on the menu. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We'll keep looking.

This isn't the most gourmet Chinese food out there, but it's still really tasty and they give you so much for the price! I order a dinner special with a soup and that's dinner, late night snack and breakfast the next morning. Total comfort food. I order from here a lot.

Your basic cheap Chinese, which is fine if that's what you're looking for, but slow delivery, and not particularly good flavor.

Finally! A General Tso's Chicken that is actually spicy! After trying almost every Chinese place that delivers in the UWS I think this is the final destination. It's not superb but It's the best I've found. Delivery was super fast too.

Middle of the road Chinese food. I still am having a hard time finding a great spot on the UWS. One thing to note, delivery man was not rude like most of the reviews below, but it did take an hour and a half to get my food.

The orange chicken used to be good, but my past two orders from here had WAY too much breading on the chicken. Absolutely horrible. Most of the other food is decent, and delivery tends to be on time.

Terrible! The food was awful and the delivery man yelled at me because he couldn't find my apartment. Ran around my floor shouting then shoved my food at me and yelled once he finally found my place. Unacceptable behavior. On top of that, the food was dreadful. The chicken was all fat, the fried rice was tasteless, and the shrimp dumplings had shell in them. I will never be ordering from here again.

Took over 45 mins to get my food and this place is 2 blocks away. The hot and sour soup is like goop and is not edible. The General Tso's chicken is warm but over cooked and has way too much breading. It's just bad food. Do not order from here.

Nothing special, though the dinner specials are good deals. They got our order wrong and sent chicken & broccoli instead of the shrimp meal, but fixed it quickly. The lo mein looked and tasted like spaghetti. We'll go elsewhere in the future.
