  We are always on a quest for great Chinese food. We have moved 4 times within Astoria and every time we move it is always just outside the delivery perimeter of our old 'favorite' place. That being said we have tried A LOT of places and Golden House is by far the winner across Astoria. The best thing about them is the consistency of the food. Every time we order we know what to expect... and everything is pretty delicious. I've actually had people from out of town say that the Golden House boneless spare ribs are by far the best they have ever had. Ever. Now that's saying something. You won't be disappointed and I almost guarantee you will be more than pleasantly surprised.

  Giving it three stars because it came fast and was cheap but it was the worst tofu I've ever had. It's basically like crispy empty tofu squares? Never ordering tofu from here again

  Delicious food and speedy delivery. Highly recommended. The Egg Foo Young is great, as is their fried rice and noodle soups. Noodle soups come separated and you combine the ingredients. Gen. Tso is not very flavorful.

  My bf and I lived in Astoria for over a year and a half. We pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact Astoria didn't have good Chinese food...until we found this place! Great food & they are always super quick. We usually get our food within 15-20 mins (even when it says the 30-45 minute delivery estimate.)

  We've ordered twice from Hot-n-Sour and will be ordering a third time. The first time was a couple weeks ago and our order took almost two hours to get here. By the time the food came it was 10:30pm and I said "this food better be amazing for that long of a wait." Well we were both very surprised and happy. Yes, we had to call for a status report but the restaurant just recently joined Seamless and as experienced Seamless veterans this is a common issue with new-to-Seamless businesses. The food was all hot. And was all very delicious. We thought probably the best American Chinese food in town. When we placed our second order, it was NOT late, and we definitely felt this will be our new "go to" for Chinese food (and we are unapolegetic Asian food snobs). I always shun General Tso's for being saccharine sweet ("Americanized") but I would definitely order that dish again. The bean curd with Chinese vegetable is lovely, not your typical vegetarian cop-out dish. The Thai fried chicken was succulent, crispy and threw a spicy punch here and there. The hot and sour soup is HOT (and delicious, though wish there was a little bean curd thrown in). The chicken fried rice was incredibly yummy and not greasy or too salty. Give them a try, but leave yourself extra wait time while they figure out the ins and outs of Seamless.

  What can you say about this place. A fourteen, a seven, a nine and lychees. well okay, no lychees, but I like chinese food. Nobody there ever is rude. comes straight to my door, quick as can be, nothing wrong, happy me.

  Glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews! This place is my regular Chinese delivery place. Consistently fast delivery, decent food, polite delivery guys - I usually get the Mixed Vegetables combination, and when I wasn't vegetarian would do Chicken & Broccoli or General Tso's Chicken. So much food for the price.
