Serviceable barbecue; decent diner-quality food. I give 2 thumbs up for the taco salad -- large, tasty, filling; one of the few bargains at Dallas BBQ. We tend to order from them only for "emergencies," though, because EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. the kitchen staff gets at least one thing wrong on the order. Last time, they left the chili out of the "new chili dog" so I ended up paying $9 for a hot dog ... I would give 4 stars for Rego Park, but the ability to fill orders "as placed" is so poor it takes them down one star.

I mean...here's the thing. The food is delicious. It's also wickedly over priced....but it's delicious. I've never had a problem with the delivery except knowing I'm going to have to stick it in the microwave for a few secs, but the location is a ways from my apt, so it's fine. Why do I still order? Because I'm a southern girl who needs her BBQ fix once in awhile and Butcher Bar hits the spot.

It's good depending on what you order. I was underwhelmed by the brisket, but the burnt ends are to die for. The Mac and cheese is delicious and the collar greens a meal in itself. Their spicy BBQ sauce is different but good tasting, especially when offsetting the slight sweetness of the crunchy, caramelized bits of the burnt ends. Have I made it clear how much I like the burnt ends? ;)

Ordered a whole chicken with 4 sides, food arrived in under 30 minutes. Chicken is very good here, not dry at all and tasty. Everything came hot. Good option for takeout in the neighborhood.
